Starting counseling can be a difficult choice - it takes a lot of courage just to walk through the door.

I have a heart for walking alongside clients during the difficult times of their lives and am devoted to providing clients with a safe, warm, and welcoming space.  I am also skilled in working collaboratively with clients to identify goals and regularly check in to ensure that we are working towards those goals. I know that so often, our past intrudes on the present, and can cause us to struggle with depression, anxiety, and a whole host of other problems. I also know that we can feel like this may never change. Because of that, I leverage talk therapy and EMDR to work through those traumatic experiences, past hurts, and current issues that are contributing to clients’ distress. Through the process, I actively work to help clients hold on to hope for lasting healing and freedom.

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents. My areas of focus include trauma, depression, anxiety, identity issues, grief, couples and premarital counseling, and relational struggles.

I recognize that each client is different. Because of that, I use an integrated, relational approach to counseling that is uniquely tuned to each client. I provide counseling informed by elements of Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

When I am not in the office, I enjoy hiking, researching various counseling theories, maintaining my aquarium, and reading.
